It was formed by the merging of Rongqi Town () and Guizhou Town (). It has a resident population of 310,000 with its total area of 80 square kilometres. It is one of the largest production bases of electric appliances in China. Several electric appliance manufacturers, such as Rongsheng, Kelon, Midea, Huabao, Wanjiale, Galanz and Wanhe, are headquartered in Ronggui.〔(Shunde City )〕〔(Administration division of Shunde )〕 ==History== Ronggui was named after Rongqi Town and Guizhou Town.
